We are seeking an experienced Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Service Bus Developer to join our team and work on strategic integration projects for a major client. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure systems that directly impact the Kingdom's security and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Oracle middleware technologies and a proven track record of delivering robust integration architectures in large-scale operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop integration solutions using Oracle SOA Suite 11g/12c and Oracle Service Bus (OSB) for our water utility client's enterprise systems
- Create and maintain BPEL processes, mediators, business rules, and human workflows
- Develop RESTful and SOAP web services for application integration across operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems
- Implement service orchestration and choreography patterns for utility management systems
- Configure adapters (Database, File, JMS, AQ) for various integration scenarios including SCADA, GIS, ERP, and asset management systems
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to SOA infrastructure with minimal downtime
- Create technical documentation including design specifications and deployment guides
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to gather integration requirements
- Optimize performance of integration flows and conduct tuning activities
- Ensure compliance with client security standards and data governance policies
- Work closely with InnovationTeam's project management and delivery teams
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4-7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Service Bus
- Strong understanding of SOA principles, web services (SOAP/REST), XML, XSLT, and XPath
- Experience with BPEL, Mediator, Business Rules, and Human Workflow components
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE technologies
- Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server administration
- Experience with version control systems (SVN, Git)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment and provide on-call support when needed
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred
- Saudi national or valid Iqama holder
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for government projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle SOA Suite certification
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns
- Previous experience working with utilities, water sector, or critical infrastructure projects
- Experience working in consulting or IT services environments
- Knowledge of Saudi government IT standards and compliance requirements
- Strong client relationship management skills
