Role Summary
We are looking for experienced Oracle Retail Techno-Functional Consultants who can work across key Oracle Retail modules (RMS, ReIM, RPM, ReSA and SIM) with strong hands-on technical skills in PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Pro*C, Oracle Forms, Java, and related Oracle Retail technologies. The role involves working closely with business and IT stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions, implement changes, support production issues, and participate in enhancement/rollout projects.

Functional (Oracle Retail – RMS, ReIM, RPM, ReSA, SIM)

  • Work with business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements across merchandising, pricing, invoice matching, store operations, and sales audit.
  • Provide functional expertise in:
  • RMS – item/sku setup, purchase orders, transfers, inventory management, cost, and deals.
  • ReIM – invoice matching, tolerance setup, discrepancy handling, supplier funding.
  • RPM – price changes, promotions, markdowns, clearance strategies.
  • ReSA – sales audit, store sales data validation, error correction workflows.
  • SIM – store inventory management, stock counts.
  • Perform fit–gap analysis and propose solutions aligned with Oracle Retail best practices.
  • Support UAT, prepare test scenarios, test data, and help business users with functional validation.
  • Analyze and provide root-cause for production issues, recommend fixes and workarounds.

Technical (Oracle Retail Core Technologies)

  • Design and develop customizations, extensions, interfaces, and reports using:
  • Oracle PL/SQL (packages, procedures, functions, views)
  • Shell scripting for batch jobs and integrations
  • Pro*C / batch programs used in Oracle Retail
  • Oracle Forms (where applicable) and Java components
  • Optimize SQL/PLSQL for performance and stability in high-volume retail environments.
  • Support and troubleshoot batch processes, scheduled jobs and EOD/EOM cycles.
  • Prepare and maintain technical design documents, configuration documents, and deployment guides.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Total Experience: 5–10+ years in IT, with 3–7+ years specifically in Oracle Retail.
  • Functional Expertise in at least 3 of the following modules:
  • Oracle Retail RMS, ReIM, RPM, ReSA, SIM
  • Strong Technical Skills:
  • Oracle PL/SQL (advanced)
  • Shell scripting on Unix/Linux
  • Pro*C and Oracle Retail batch processes
  • Oracle Forms customization/support
  • Java (for Oracle Retail extensions/integrations)
  • Solid understanding of retail business processes – purchasing, inventory, pricing, promotions, invoicing, store operations, and sales/audit.
  • Experience in production support, incident & problem management, and working in onsite–offshore or distributed teams.
  • Hands-on experience with version control, ticketing tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.) and standard SDLC practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Retail Foundation and associated integration layers.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Retail Cloud or roadmap migration from on-prem to cloud.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and integration middleware (e.g. ODI, SQL Loader, SOA).
  • Experience in performance tuning and high-volume data processing in retail systems.
  • Prior experience in large retail enterprises or multi-country rollouts.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical designs.
  • Good communication skills to work with business users, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working in a T&M engagement with clear deliverables and timelines.
