Oracle Joint Venture Management is a module within Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials that enables advanced management of multiple joint ventures, ensuring financial transactions are distributed to partners according to each partner's share of ownership as defined in joint operating agreements. The Joint Venture Functional Lead will be responsible for leading functional workshops, gathering requirements, configuring the Joint Venture module, and ensuring successful delivery. The client trades with 1-2 partners but the ventures do not always have the same terms, requiring expertise in configuring varying ownership structures and distribution rules. This role requires English fluency and consulting skills to be client-facing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Workstream Leadership
- Lead functional workshops to gather requirements and design solutions following Peloton Playbooks
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional designs, configuration workbooks, and process flows
- Configure Oracle Joint Venture Management modules including ownership definitions, partner contributions, and distribution rules
- Define joint ventures according to client-specific joint operating agreement terms and conditions
- Oversee the work of consulting and customer functional resources within the Joint Venture workstream
Technical Delivery
- Author Functional Specifications for RICE objects and collaborate with Technical Leads and COE Tech Leads
- Define test scenarios, scripts, and traceability (RTM) to ensure coverage of requirements and edge cases
- Configure integration touchpoints with Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, Projects)
- Conduct CRP, SIT, UAT, and production cutover activities for Joint Venture workstream
Scope and Quality Management
- Actively manage scope within the Joint Venture domain, preventing scope creep and highlighting change requests
- Produce clear, consistent deliverables using practice templates and ensure timely reviews/sign-offs
- Ensure compliance with joint operating agreement requirements throughout configuration
Operational Excellence
- Engage with client stakeholders to understand joint venture business requirements
- Provide expertise on Joint Interest Billing (JIB) processes and reporting requirements
- Configure partner contribution management and track balances as distributions are drawn
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Joint Venture Management Cloud implementation and configuration
- Strong understanding of joint operating agreements (JOA) and how to translate them into system configuration
- Experience configuring ownership definitions, transaction identification rules, and distribution processing
- Understanding of integration with Oracle Financials modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Project Costing
- Knowledge of Joint Interest Billing (JIB) processes and reporting requirements
- Consulting skills: workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, stakeholder management (Consulting 101)
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) - client-facing role
ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with Oracle Project Costing and Financial Reporting
- Understanding of helicopter leasing or aviation asset financing (preferred but not required)
- Experience in full project lifecycle implementations (Design through Go-Live)
