Production Support – Provide support and troubleshoot issues that arise within the Oracle EBS environment and related applications. Work closely with other IT teams and Oracle support to resolve issues
Database Management – Keep the databases running smoothly, develop and maintain scripts and queries
Upgrades – Keep all levels of the EBS infrastructure from OS to application tier current and take advantage of new cloud technologies
Projects/Initiatives – Help with customizations/integrations related to new projects and initiatives
Release Management – Perform deployments for monthly releases and support the deployment tool
Patching and Vulnerability Management – Prepare and perform quarterly patching of the entire stack and eliminate vulnerabilities
Cloning and Refreshing: Clone production environments to create development and test environments
Backup and Recovery: Maintain and test backup and recovery policies and procedures
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or a related field.
A minimum of five years’ experience with Oracle database products, the majority of that in a database administration role.
A minimum of two years’ experience with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.x
3+ years of experience with Linux
Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
Demonstrated understanding of networking, storage and security concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to train and be trained, share knowledge with the team and agree on team standards
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an environment with multiple work demands, conflicting priorities, and critical timelines.
Oracle certifications are a plus.
Experience with Oracle Cloud and Oracle Base Database Service is preferred.
Database tuning and sql statement tuning skills are preferred.
Experience with different authentication technologies, Weblogic, RMAN, APEX and other ancillary Oracle products as well as disaster recovery setups is desired.
