About the internship

The Operations Internship is a hands-on programme for students and early-career professionals who want to optimize business processes and deliver high-impact results in the music tech industry.

In this transversal role, you will act as a bridge between client needs and technical execution. As an Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role in BMAT, supporting the Operations team in achieving its objectives. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of the deliveries to BMAT customers , making you an integral part of our mission.

Internship Details

Duration: 4 Months

Workload: 20 hours/week

Location: Hybrid (Barcelona preferred, some remote work possible)

Compensation: Paid internship


How to Apply

1. Soft & Technical skills test
   After you submit your application, we'll email you the details on how to take your placement test.
   
2. Application review
   After completing the test, our People team will review your submission and select candidates for the next stage.
   
3. Call with People
   Selected candidates will have a short conversation with our People team to discuss motivations, expectations, and fit.
   
4. Technical Challenge / Final Assessment
   Candidates will complete a practical task or technical evaluation to demonstrate their hands-on problem-solving skills.
   
5. Interview with Mentoring Team
   The final stage is a technical and project-focused interview with the operations team mentors who will guide you during the internship.
   

Key Responsibilities

• Give support to the Operations department in the daily tasks.
• Take ownership of deliverables.
• Quality assurance and first layer of investigation of incidences.
• Use existing guidelines to solve problems with minimal guidance and escalate when appropriate.
• Proactively make suggestions for improvements in the processes.

Collaboration and Team Dynamics

• You will collaborate closely with the Operations team and the Business Line, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. These collaborations are pivotal for achieving our organisational goals and ensuring effective communication and alignment across different areas of the company.

Requirements

• Preferably +1 year experience in data entry or data analysis
• Knowledge and experience in the music industry is preferred but not mandatory.Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with coding and database access is a plus.
• Be comfortable dealing with a large amount of data and numbers.
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English is a must. Spanish, Catalan and French are a plus. 
• Based in Europe. Based in Barcelona is a plus. 

Expectations of the role 

Within 30 Days:

• During the first month, your primary focus will be on familiarising yourself with essential aspects of the role and supporting foundational tasks.
• Gain understanding of our products and their value proposition for our clients.
• Execute your tasks under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

Within 60 Days:

• By the second month, you'll be expected to autonomously manage tasks and actively contribute to projects. 
• Take care of the Key Responsibilities autonomously, ensure the desired outcome.
• Support Operations and contribute to the team objectives and workflows.
• Report  incidents to the Operations Manager as well as propose potential improvements.
