Why this role exists

We are strengthening our operations function and need a hands-on lead with strong experience in financial operations and reporting. This role sits at the intersection of finance support, analytics, and execution and is designed for someone who wants real ownership, not surface-level oversight.

You will own core operational reporting and finance support work today and grow into leading a small team over time, while remaining actively involved in the work.

What you will focus on

Finance & Operations (Primary Focus)

• Track and support reporting on revenue, cost, and margin

• Support invoicing workflows, reconciliations, and audit activities

• Apply a working understanding of AR and AP concepts to ensure clean operational execution

• Partner closely with finance and delivery teams to validate data and resolve issues

Reporting & Analytics (Primary Focus)

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that leadership actually uses

• Create clear, reliable reports using advanced Excel

• Analyze trends, surface risks, and turn data into actionable insights

• Use AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to speed analysis and improve reporting quality

Process & Systems (Secondary, Learnable)

• Work with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) to track and improve operational workflows

• Learn and support vendor and tools-related processes over time

• Identify inefficiencies and propose practical improvements

Leadership (Hands-on)

• Act as a player–coach, setting standards for quality, accuracy, and ownership

• Remain deeply involved in execution while gradually mentoring a small team

• Collaborate closely with Operations and Finance leadership

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• 3–6 years of experience in operations, finance support, reporting, or analytics

• MBA in Finance or a comparable finance-focused postgraduate qualification

• Strong Power BI experience (dashboarding is a must)

• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, analysis)

• Solid understanding of revenue, cost, margin, and how AR/AP fit into operational workflows

• Comfortable working with imperfect data and making it better

• Clear communicator who takes ownership and follows through
