Operations Manager

AI overview

Oversee operational health across multiple production streams, driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring delivery effectiveness while managing client-critical escalations.

The role

The Operations Manager is the strategic and operational counterpart to the Vertical Lead. You are accountable for ensuring delivery and production run smoothly, profitably, and in line with broader business goals.

Sitting between the Vertical Lead and the Delivery Managers, you translate strategy into execution. You create clarity across workflows, tooling, and dependencies, and you make sure the delivery structure can scale without relying on constant firefighting.

You are a calm point of escalation, a systems thinker, and a practical operator who keeps the organization focused on outcomes.

What you will do

  • Maintain and improve operational health across multiple production streams and geographies.

  • Act as the first line of escalation for issues that impact profitability, timelines, or client satisfaction.

  • Drive operational planning and cross-functional alignment with production, finance, and sales.

  • Support Delivery Managers by setting clear expectations, reinforcing accountability, and helping them focus on high-impact work rather than day-to-day execution.

  • Own and evolve operational KPIs, including profitability, team utilization, load balancing, and process compliance.

  • Identify when new tools, reporting, or process changes are needed, and lead their implementation and adoption.

  • Represent operations in client-critical situations and internal strategic

Requirements

What you bring

Experience and skills

  • 5+ years in operations or delivery leadership roles, ideally in high-volume, production-led, or content-driven environments.

  • Proven experience working across functions and aligning delivery teams with finance, sales, and production.

  • Strong systems thinking, with experience improving visibility, reporting, or efficiency through better processes and tooling.

  • Solid forecasting and planning skills across capacity, timelines, and business needs, with an ability to anticipate bottlenecks early.

  • Experience defining, tracking, and interpreting operational KPIs, and turning them into clear actions for leadership.

  • Confidence handling escalations, both internally and in client-facing contexts, with prevention as the first priority.

How you work

  • You take full ownership of outcomes across the vertical, regardless of reporting lines.

  • You spot risks early, flag them clearly, and align the right people around solutions.

  • You communicate in a structured, calm way, especially when things are moving fast or feel ambiguous.

  • You prioritize based on business impact, not noise.

  • You stay steady under pressure and bring stability to delivery teams.

  • You lead in a supportive way, combining clear guidance with constructive challenge.

  • You understand the commercial and client context and factor it into decisions and conversations.
