Position Overview

The Operations Manager in Fulfillment Operations plays a crucial role in optimizing network performance and fulfillment operations through data analysis, system configuration, forecasting, and performance monitoring. This position sits horizontally across the fulfillment organization and works with other stakeholders to maintain high standards of network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Improvement:

  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in operations and network performance.

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Create regular reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.


Network Routing Configuration:

  • Advise on the correct configuration and management of routing settings to optimize volume management across the network.

  • Continuously assess and adjust routing algorithms to ensure balanced distribution and efficient resource utilization.

  • Collaborate with fulfillment teams to implement and test new routing strategies.


Monitoring System Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain monitoring systems to track network performance in real-time.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for network performance.

  • Create dashboards and alerts to provide visibility into network health and performance issues.


Performance Optimization:

  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and risks in the network.

  • Recommend and implement solutions to ensure the network operates at peak performance.

  • Conduct regular performance audits and provide actionable insights for improvement.

  • Perform routine forecasting to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained at Phil and across the network.


Internal Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with partner support teams to understand operational challenges and requirements.

  • Assist in troubleshooting complex partner issues related to routing and performance.

  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and best practices.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a network operations or partner management environment

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL)

  • Experience with network routing systems and algorithms

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and dashboard creation (e.g., Looker, Tableau)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools
