As a member of the SMT as Operations Manager your main duties and responsibilities include:
- Developing, improving, and implementing operations plans to meet company goals
- Managing the day-to-day operations, establishing company policies, implementing necessary changes, and adhering to compliance procedures, laws, and regulations
- Manage all direct reports building strong relationships around the values of the company:
- Setting and managing KPIs
- Field Accompaniment
- Time sheets (to reduce overtime claimed)
- Training and development planning
- Providing all necessary reports, assisting leadership in goal setting, and promoting company growth and anticipating and forecasting trends and patterns of the company and marketplace
- Managing finances, developing, monitoring, and analysing the departmental financial reports
- Creating financial plans for increasing revenue and margins in the Operations Team
- Allocating the company’s resources, materials and equipment to the most productive functions, supply chain and delivery management
- Creating operation strategies to minimise stock losses, implementing initiatives to reduce company costs, and increasing employee productivity
- Develop and build all processes and procedures for an EV Charge Point Installer and Operator
- Develop and manage the annual operations budget
- Develop and build a sub-contract network of suitable organisations for Civil Engineering works and electrical installations in certain geographical locations
- Ensure the continuous improvement of electrical procedures, standard operating procedures, Lean and problem-solving initiatives.
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the electrical employees through performance review and development planning
- Evaluation and onboarding of suitable charging hardware suppliers and partners and the regular review of our current charging hardware suppliers
- Resolve customer issues in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner, projecting a professional and customer-friendly attitude.
- Manage the necessary administrative records and controls to protect the interests of the company and the customer, to include prompt and accurate invoicing.
- Create and review estimates for final pricing and approval as required.
- Ensure that the electrical team has the technical ability to support all sales efforts.
- Determines and promotes company goals, strategies, products, services, and achievements to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Establishes directions and leads the development of short and long-term operation’s strategies and objectives.
- Assist in the strategic planning, vision, and business planning of the company.
- Comply with all Health & Safety protocol
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Oversee small works and estimating function
- Produce and monitor site specific, risk assessments and method statements in line with H&S legislation
- Establish and maintain ongoing client relationships, identify opportunities for future opportunities
- Manage delivery of projects, within budget requirements, with a target to maximise profit through subcontractors and labour control
- Liaise with clients representative on site, to coordinate all site activities, ensure installation team attend all induction courses
- Manage ongoing workload informing all relevant departments if there is a delay, or difficulties which may adversely effect, the delivery, cost or quality of the project
- Any other reasonable requests which your line manager may require
- Act as a conduit between operations and the commercial sales team, building a strong and close working relationship with the Commercial Sales Team
- General administration tasks that are required to meet the needs of the business

Salary 45k to 60k DOE
