About the Team & Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Intern to join our team for an unpaid three month internship. This is an excellent opportunity for students with a data science or technical background to gain real-world experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Understanding the process of securities lending and borrowing, contract compare and reconciliation, corporate action, mark to market, and regulatory requirements. Liaise with the trading desk, custodians, and external brokers to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Applying Excel and third party systems in real-world business processes to solve problems and improve workflows.
  • Understanding how compliance and regulatory requirements impact daily operations and decision-making.
  • Collaborating with various team members across the Operations department in a rotational structure, allowing you to gain exposure to multiple functions and operational processes.
  • Supporting daily operational workflow with a strong focus on account verification and data integrity.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • A student or recent graduate with a background in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Interest in learning about financial operations and how broker-dealers work.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
