We are looking for an ​Operations Excellence ​Manager to join our ​Operations team​! Our ​Operations Excellence Manager​ is responsible for driving continuous improvement, and operational efficiency throughout our supply chain.  

Opportunities  

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory planning, warehouse operations, and supply execution to ensure optimal product availability, efficient inventory levels, and seamless distribution. This role partners cross-functionally with departments such as Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Logistics to align demand, supply, and inventory strategies while driving continuous improvement across planning and warehousing processes.

Experience

  • You have proven experience driving continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment 
  • You have experience with ERP and WMS systems

  • ​​You have experience working in a fast-paced or and rapidly growing environment 
  • ​You have experience in food manufacturing, bakery or short shelf-life CPG 
  • ​You have been a subject matter expert of an ERP system

Things you will do… 

  • Lead operational excellence initiatives across bakery manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain processes
  • Identify , bottlenecks, and waste; develop and implement improvement plans using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Establish and track KPIs related to productivity, cost, service, waste, and inventory performance
  • Drive standardization of processes, work instructions, and best practices across plants and distribution partners
  • Monitor inventory health including turns, days on hand, excess & obsolete inventory and expiry risk
  • Work with Procurement to improve raw material availability, supplier performance, and cost optimization
  • Ensure the manufacturing facility has adequate raw materials in advance based on production schedule
  • Support initiatives related to supplier lead times, MOQ optimization, and inbound logistics efficiency
  • Ensure alignment between procurement strategies and production requirements to minimize disruptions and inventory risk
  • Lead and develop a team providing ongoing coaching, mentorship, and support
  • Own the obsolete inventory process
  • Control inventory of both frozen and dry finished products as well as ingredients in multiple warehouse locations
  • Ensure FIFO process is followed for raw materials and finished goods in multiple warehouse locations
  • Ensure data accuracy and process discipline across internal systems
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into operational and inventory performance
  • Support system enhancements, process automation, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Oversee 3PL operations

OTHER …  

  • ​​You may on occasion work at various times including weekends, as the job requires  
  • ​You will also be partnering with a Procurement team to develop just in time material flow  
  • ​Manager will work closely with finance to maintain inventory accuracy in dry and frozen category​
