The Role

As Operations Director, you will take full ownership of multi-site warehouse, logistics, and fulfilment operations, ensuring that the business scales efficiently while maintaining exceptional service levels.

 You will work closely with the CEO, Board, and Leadership Team, spearheading operational transformation, digitalisation, and process automation, and leading a major site relocation project as part of the company’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Lead and optimise multi-site warehouse, logistics, and fulfilment centre operations
✔ Implement ERP and data-driven strategies to enhance operational efficiencies
✔ Drive continuous improvement initiatives, embedding best-in-class systems and processes
✔ Manage and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
✔ Oversee a major site relocation project, ensuring seamless transition and scalability
✔ Enhance stock, inventory, and fulfilment processes to maximise efficiency
✔ Collaborate with the CEO & Board to execute long-term operational strategy
✔ Champion health & safety, ESG compliance, and operational sustainability

Requirements

This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader with a strong background in scaling multi-site operations. You should be commercially astute, data-driven, and a people-first leader who thrives in a fast-growth, agile environment.

 What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Proven leadership as an Operations Director or Head of Operations within a £75m+ revenue business
✔ Strong background in warehouse, logistics, and multi-site operations, ideally in hire-related industries (e.g. construction, heavy industry, oil & gas, food)
Data-driven mindset – ability to drive efficiencies using ERP systems and analytics
✔ Experience in on-site project delivery teams & subcontractor management
Continuous improvement champion – process automation & transformation expertise
Strong leadership skills – a people-focused approach with a passion for talent development
✔ Ability to execute major infrastructure projects, such as site relocation and expansion
