Are you a natural organiser who thrives on streamlining chaos into calm, smooth-running systems? Do you want to play a pivotal role in helping a quality-led, independent food business scale its operations sustainably?

We’re recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to join a small, growing, purpose-driven artisan bakery based in Lincolnshire. Operating from a modern site just outside Lincoln, this bakery supplies premium, handcrafted goods to high-end cafés, restaurants, and local events across the region.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a tight-knit, passionate team at a time of rapid growth. The business has doubled in size over the past year – and now needs someone like you to take the reins of day-to-day operational coordination, freeing up other staff to focus on growth and sales.

Your Mission

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideally suited to someone with a background in logistics, food production, or hospitality operations. You'll be the glue between baking, delivery, stock, and systems, ensuring everything happens on time and to the highest standards.

From route planning to stock control, invoice oversight to staff scheduling, you’ll make sure every handcrafted product reaches its destination as beautifully as it left the oven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily production and delivery schedules
  • Plan efficient van routes and oversee dispatch
  • Manage ingredient purchasing and stock levels
  • Implement clear cut-offs and streamline order entry
  • Oversee invoicing using Xero (reducing manual error)
  • Support and schedule casual and core team staff
  • Troubleshoot issues calmly and proactively
  • Liaise with bakers to uphold product quality and consistency

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Operational experience within food, logistics, or hospitality
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, stock systems, and delivery planning
  • A sharp eye for detail and a love of structure
  • Confidence to problem-solve and make things happen
  • Friendly, hands-on team spirit with a love for real food
  • Must have a driving licence (due to occasional need to be able to support with deliveries).

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with Xero, CRM or inventory software
  • Experience coordinating teams or rotas
  • A genuine passion for artisan produce and independent food brands

What’s in It for You

This is more than just a coordination role. You’ll have the chance to shape how the business runs day to day, with real autonomy and room to grow. As the business scales, so will you – with a clear path toward a more senior Operations Manager position over time.

If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and play a key part in something truly special, we’d love to hear from you.
