About the Role:
The Geospatial Ops Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating geospatial field operations. The primary function of the Geospatial Ops Coordinator is to ensure the success of Zeitview LiDAR capture capabilities. Aspects include safety management, regulatory compliance, and logistical support. The Geospatial Ops Coordinator must be a geospatial professional who possesses the right demeanor to train and mentor field personnel and understands the end-to-end workflows to successfully collect locational data using GNSS survey equipment. The Geospatial Ops Coordinator should be a focused individual capable of multitasking and troubleshooting complex issues quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage deployment activities for Zeitview’s LiDAR fleet of UAS (drones), sensors, & batteries
  • Test & troubleshoot new hardware solutions
  • Manage logistics of LiDAR field operations to ensure contracts are completed in the most
  • time-efficient manner
  • Report issues & deficiencies to Zeitview’s Senior Geospatial Leadership
  • Conform to standard operating procedures set forth by Zeitview
  • Perform training on use & maintenance of equipment & sensors, providing coaching &
  • support for geospatial pilots
  • Operate with limited supervision to accomplish successful LiDAR field collection

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency mapping with GPS surveying equipment
  • Knowledge of ground control concepts
  • Working knowledge of Geographical Information Systems
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestic with the potential for international travel
  • Experience with logistics processes
  • Field experience and hold a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate [or equivalent]
  • Experience with photogrammetry data collection workflows 
  • UAS and sensor troubleshooting experience
  • Expertise with DJI UAS systems
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift greater than 50 pounds

Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing GPS field surveying equipment
  • Operations management & communication skills within a cross-functional environment
  • Energy & Construction sector experience (preferred)
  • Experience in program & asset management (preferred)
  • Field hardware repair experience (preferred)
  • Advanced geospatial certifications (preferred)
