The Operations Analyst is responsible for recommending, coordinating, and monitoring operational activities to ensure efficient workflows, on-time delivery, and alignment with customer demand. This role focuses on data analysis, production planning, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize manufacturing, scheduling, shipping, and logistics performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Analysis & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report key operational KPIs including production output, schedule adherence, on-time delivery, WIP levels, inventory accuracy, and cycle time.
- Monitor daily production performance and ensure alignment with established production plans.
- Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad hoc operational and production reports for leadership review Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer demand and capacity requirements.
- Identify performance variances and provide data-driven insights to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
- Monitor shipping and dock schedules to ensure alignment with customer release dates and ship-to requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Quality, and Purchasing teams to resolve material shortages, capacity constraints, and scheduling conflicts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through analytical support, root-cause analysis, and process improvement projects.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Follow all safety guidelines and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Promote company-wide programs and operational best practices as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in production control, planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel or data visualization tools.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
