Operational Systems Engineer

Two Six Technologies is seeking an experienced Operational Systems Engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex networks supporting cutting edge cybersecurity research and development. The Operational Network Administrator will be empowered to fully manage custom systems, networks, and systems-under-test as an integrated member of the cyber and electronic systems team charged with developing novel solutions across the national security community.

This technical role will require system administration expertise as well as cybersecurity and CNO experience. The position is not standard corporate network administration or helpdesk ticketing. The Operational Network Administrator will be a key player in high priority, high growth programs and should have a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to operate with ambiguity in order to accomplish project goals with speed and agility. A successful candidate will have an “all hands-on deck” mentality and a desire to expand their expertise across hardware, software, reverse engineering, CNO, and system development.

Responsibilities Include:
• Lead efforts to ensure to ensure that complex systems are ready-for-use and quick reaction requests are met as needed
• Support tight-looped development and integration production cycles
• Process and testing automation
• Continual learning, particularly with respect to cybersecurity principles
• Collaboration and communication across teams and projects

Minimum Qualifications
• Top Secret security clearance
• 5+ years of experience configuring, designing, administrating, and maintaining Linux and Windows servers or workstations
• Intimate knowledge of the linux command line
• Command of scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Docker
• Experience with virtualization environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, or ProxMox
• Ability to work daily onsite at Arlington, VA HQ

Nice to Haves:
• Experience with classified lab networks and requirements (SCIF or SAPF)
• Expertise in mid-level network devices such as managed switches and routers
• Experience with LDAP/Kerberos authentication protocols
