As Operational Buyer you will make sure relations with suppliers are good and all needed items for production (steel, painting powder...) and needed items for customer deliveries (footplates, protectors, rowspacers...) are ordered/called off on time. You will follow-up on deliveries with suppliers to confirm items are delivered on time.

  • Confirm and manage stock levels of raw materials and material requirements for production, and call off materials in time
  • Order purchased goods in-line with category strategies while selecting vendors within outlined available pricing
  • Manage outstanding purchase orders to update delivery dates as demand requires
  • Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders and follow up delivery of orders according to requested delivery date
  • Manage daily relationship between the factory and its suppliers
  • Provide input on supplier performance (delivery, quality, …) to central category managers for regular supplier evaluation
  • Solve potential invoice blocks due to quantity or price discrepancies
  • 3-5  years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management and purchasing experience is a plus
  • Figures/data driven
  • Ability to act in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong will to contribute to process improvement
  • Experience with Microsoft excel
  • IT Expertise: ERP & Business Intelligence Tools. SAP experience is a plus
  • Living max 30 minutes away from our office in Adairsville
