POSITION SUMMARY

The Patient Coordinator plays a critical inside sales role in driving the success of Natera’s Oncology product lines. This position is responsible for managing and growing patient relationships while directly contributing to revenue through proactive outreach, pipeline development, and ongoing engagement.

As a primary point of contact for patients, the Patient Coordinator partners closely with Field Sales, Operations, and internal stakeholders to execute territory strategies, advance opportunities through the sales pipeline, and ensure timely testing and repeat utilization. This role blends customer advocacy with inside sales execution, requiring strong relationship-building skills, sales acumen, and the ability to connect daily activities to pipeline and revenue outcomes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as an inside sales partner to Field Sales by supporting territory strategies and advancing opportunities through the pipeline.

  • Proactively manage inbound and outbound patient outreach to influence testing adoption, scheduling, and continuity of care.

  • Build and maintain long-term, consultative relationships with patients to drive repeat testing and ongoing engagement.

  • Identify, nurture, and progress patient opportunities from initial contact through completion of testing, ensuring alignment with sales pipeline goals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Billing and Customer Support to remove barriers and close gaps impacting conversion or timing.

  • Assess patient needs with a solutions-oriented mindset, addressing logistical, clinical coordination, and service challenges.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of interactions, opportunities, and pipeline activity in CRM and business intelligence tools (e.g., Salesforce, PowerBI).

  • Analyze territory and pipeline data to prioritize outreach, identify trends, and optimize sales efforts.

  • Ensure timely completion of data requests and reporting related to sales performance and patient engagement.

  • Act as a patient advocate within Natera while maintaining a revenue-focused, sales-driven approach.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compliance & Training

  • Regularly works with PHI in both paper and electronic formats.

  • Completes HIPAA/PHI privacy, security, and General Policies and Procedures training within required timelines.

  • Maintains current status on all Natera-required training.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of inside sales experience, preferably in a remote or phone-based environment.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in outbound and inbound sales or call center roles with measurable performance goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a territory or book of business and connect daily activities to pipeline outcomes.

  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to manage leads, opportunities, and sales activity.

  • Background in medical, diagnostic, or biological sciences preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and guide patients through a consultative sales process.

  • Proven ability to execute inside sales strategies while thinking strategically about territory and pipeline management.

  • Comfortable handling objections, navigating complex conversations, and driving next steps toward conversion.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation ability.

  • Ability to analyze data and pipeline metrics to prioritize outreach and optimize performance.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google platform and business reporting tools.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective working independently in a fast-paced, remote or hybrid environment.

  • Team-first attitude with a strong collaborative approach across sales and operational partners.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
