Job Description: 

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a Nuvolo Senior Trainer to provide leadership, strategic direction, and expertise to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare Technology Management Service Line. The Senior Trainer plans, develops, updates, and delivers comprehensive training programs in support of the VA Nuvolo Clinical EAM and OT Security platform. This individual ensures that VA HTM staff and end users across the enterprise are proficient in using Nuvolo following system upgrades, new feature releases, and configuration changes, delivering both instructor-led and web-based training formats. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, create, and execute training and educational courses for VA HTM staff covering Nuvolo Clinical EAM and OT Security application workflows and functionality.
  • Update standardized training content (guides, knowledge articles, job aids) as enhancements, updates, upgrades, or other changes render previous materials obsolete.
  • Support creation of new training materials when major new features are implemented (e.g., mobile platform, new EAM modules).
  • Deliver training via instructor-led formats (classroom, conference, seminar) and web-based formats (Internet/Intranet, software packages, computer applications).
  • Conduct needs evaluations and identify communication and skill requirements for VA HTM user populations.
  • Translate training needs into workshop curricula and remedial training modules.
  • Develop and revise workbooks, lesson plans, and class instructional materials for standard and customized workshops.
  • Maintain and manage training databases, LMS records, and the VA Nuvolo Knowledge Base.
  • Coordinate system testing and assist users with UAT for new application features and releases.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings; provide training status updates in biweekly release reports.
  • Provide General Application Support and Training Services as needed. 

 Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience providing training in a technical or healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver both in-person and web-based adult learning programs.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Professional clinical experience and understanding of healthcare delivery.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
  • Experience with VHA or other federal healthcare agencies.
  • Experience delivering Nuvolo Clinical EAM and/or OT Security module training.
  • Understanding of VISN, VAMC, and HTM/Biomedical Engineering operations.
  • Certification in instructional design or adult learning (e.g., ATD CPTD, CompTIA CTT+). 

 Eligibility: 

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role. 

Compensation: 

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below. 

Salary range: $85,000 - $135,000
