Position Overview

  • Role: Nurse Practitioner (Virtual Care – Contractor)
  • Work Type: Remote, 1099 Contractor
  • Time Commitment: 20 hours/weekguaranteed schedule with set shifts
  • Scheduling: Predictable shifts; options may include evenings or weekends
  • Compensation: Approximately $60/hour
    • Important Note: This is a 1099 contractor opportunity, provided that, this classification and rate of pay are subject to change based on the clinicians state of residence, applicable state employment and worker classification regulations, and the clinicians availability and involvement with SteadyMD, to ensure compliance with state-specific labor and wage requirements.

This is a part-time contractor position with a fixed weekly schedule. Shifts will be pre-arranged and recurring week to week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual patient evaluations via scheduled video visits
  • Manage initial intake and treatment planning for adult patients (18+)
  • Review lab results and prescribe medications (primarily GLP-1 agonists when appropriate)
  • Address ongoing patient concerns via chat and portal communications
  • Handle prescription refills, lab follow-up, and chronic care coordination
  • Practice within the scope of evidence-based and inclusive care models

Requirements

    • Licensure: Active NP licenses in at least 15 states.
    • Certification: AGNP-BC or FNP-BC (ANCC or AANP)
    • Experience:
      • 2+ years independent NP practice preferred
      • Experience in weight loss care and GLP-1 prescribing highly preferred
      • Familiarity with compound medications a plus
      • Background in internal or family medicine preferred
      • Chronic care and telemedicine experience are strongly desired
