About the Job 

We are looking for a licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT-SPECT) who is a self-starter and enjoys delivering exemplary patient care.  As the Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for delivering safe patient care during procedures in Nuclear Cardiology in the imaging center.  This role will start off as a per diem position.

What you’ll do: 

  • Perform functional and/or perfusion rest and stress cardiac studies, including image processing for physician review.  
  • Organize the nuclear stress schedule. Maintain and order nuclear equipment and supplies. 
  • Produce and process accurate diagnostic images for interpretation. 
  • Participate in updating and developing all policies and procedures for nuclear cardiology testing.  
  • Maintain all isotope records and properly dispose radioactive waste. 
  • Participate in maintaining and cleaning hot lab, patient prep area, and scan area before, during and after procedures. 
  • Assist with ACR or other accreditation process 
  • Start IV’s using aseptic techniques. 
  • Accurately document patient test results and patient medical history using Athena EMR. Additional administrative documentation may be required. 
  • Ensure patient safety while providing high quality testing. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

What you’ll need: 

  • 3+ years' experience is preferred.  
  • PET preferred and SPECT required. 
  • Graduate of a program in Nuclear Medicine Technology required. 
  • State licensure in good standing required. 
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certified required. 
  • Basic Life Support (ACLS preferred) required. 
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent computer skills  
  • Full working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment and Radiation Physics. 

Work Location: 

You will work out of the Philadelphia, PA location.  

Additional Information 

This is a role starting at $45 an hour and will be commensurate with experience.
