We are looking for a ​Nuclear Engineer​ on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in ​Garching, Germany or Cadarache, France. In exceptional cases, the position could also be carried out from Barcelona, Spain. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism. 

 

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

 

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

  • Support the development of the design of the European TBM Systems in compliance with ITER requirements; 

  • Apply codes and standards such as ASME, RCC-MR, RCC-MRx to the design of the TBM Systems; 

  • Support the system engineering activities providing inputs for interface management, requirement management and validation, related performance, radiation protection, thermal and pressure loads, and operational constraints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably nuclear Engineering;  

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience;  

  • Experience in designing and manufacturing of pressurised nuclear or chemical systems and components operated at high temperature;  

  • Experience in the use of FEM/CFD simulation tools;  

  • Experience in the design-by-analysis of nuclear systems and components is an asset;  

  • Basic knowledge of Matlab or other simulation tools is an asset;  

  • Basic knowledge of Ansys or similar FEM tools is an asset;  

  • Experience in manufacturing of pressurised nuclear or chemical systems is an asset;  

  • Good knowledge of French ESP/ESPN regulations is an asset;  

  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU;  

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
