Node js Backend Engineer (Api Team)- Skroutz Last Mile (JBE 0126)

Skroutz Last Mile, is building a next-generation courier service that compliments the e-commerce experience pioneered by Skroutz. Our company delivers over 40,000 packages a day and is rapidly expanding its services to other cities.

We are currently the #1 Carrier in Greece in terms of Customer Satisfaction as a result of various innovative services that we have launched, including Skroutz Points, real-time tracking and notifications, automated customer support and rescheduling.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who will help in scaling our capacity to serve and help us continue offering the best service. You will contribute in building the platform that drives thousands of orders a day from merchants to customers in a predictable and performant manner. As part of the API team you will be responsible for adding new capabilities and services to our product. From day one, you'll be given top priority business problems and you'll be working directly with the founding team to solve them.

Examples of recently completed projects similar to what you will be working on:

• Warehouse scanning and sorting system for preparing driver packages
• Automated returns to merchant handling
• Software to handle delivery to network of automated parcel machines

• Sync with business intelligence team on upcoming problems to solve
• Develop new API features
• Review impact of released features together with the BI team

Requirements

Your Skills & Experience

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working as a Software Engineer in a professional setting
• Proven experience in Javascript/Typescript and PostgreSQL/MySQL or the ability to ramp up quickly
• Solid understanding of web and systems architecture
• GitHub account (Optional)
