The Opportunity We are looking for an early career Neurotechnology Engineer to advance our nanoparticle enabled brain-computer interface (BCI) initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to integrate diverse technologies and drive innovation in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in neurotechnology hardware, electrical engineering, and data processing. You will play a key role in developing and testing our new technology both in internal labs and in partnership with academic and industrial collaborators.   • Works with the Neuroscience Lead, Hardware Lead and academic and industrial collaborators to design, build, and test new nanoparticle neurotechnology.
  • Working with a cross functional, interdisciplinary team to integrate hardware, software, nanoscience, data science, and regulatory to build new BCI technology.
  • Design, build, and test sensor prototypes.
  • Support in vitro and in vivo neurotechnology experiments with custom instrumentation and data analysis.
  • Help operate and maintain our neurotech laboratories.
  • Grow the IP portfolio of the company.
  • Promote scientific advances in the company through peer review publication and by speaking at conferences.
  • What You'll Bring
  • Expertise in neurotechnology, electric engineering, and magnetics. BCI experience a plus.
  • Strong track record in rapid prototyping and creative engineering.
  • Familiarity with integrating hardware, software, and data processing to develop technologies and productsExperience with firmware engineering and microfabrication a plus.
  • Familiarity with biotech applications and medical devices.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced early stage startup.
  • Collaboration experience with academic laboratories and CROs.
  • Track record of independent work on research projects.
  • An excellent publication/patent history in neurotechnology and related fields.
  • Advance degree in neuroscience, electric engineering, bioenegineering or a related field with 0-2 years of industrial or academic postdoctoral experience.
