PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has a requirement to provide information technology (IT) support services for day-to-day operations at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. The NSWCDD originally established itself as the major testing area for naval guns and ammunition. Today, it continues to provide the military with the development and integration of warfare systems for the warfighter, warfighting, and the future fleet. NSWCDD’s mission is to deliver warfare systems to protect our nation and defeat our adversaries. The vision is to design, develop, and integrate technologically superior, 21st century warfare systems. NSWCDD is determined to standardize and automate processes and procedures to become more efficient, structured, and transparent in its mission to provide services such as RDTE, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems.
Job Responsibilities:
· Skilled in developing, testing, and implementing network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans.
· Skilled in performing packet-level analysis
· Display technical comprehension of relationships, dependencies, and hardware and software component requirements. Interpret submitted documentation, including user and functional requirements and develop forensic examination reports, reviewing and editing, and formatting NSWCDD Security Office publications for security guidelines and policies
· Possess knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk). Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cyber threats, cyber vulnerabilities.
· Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies, cloud computing service models, and cloud deployment models in private, public, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments.
· Must have an IAT Level III certification
Job Requirements:
Six (6) years of professional experience providing software, hardware, and wireless support, including mobile forensic examination to the client based on submitted requirements for functionality and use of developed tools.
Candidate will work on-site.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field is preferred.
Certifications
DoD 8570 IAT III. One of the following certifications is required
- CASP CE
- CCNP Security
- CISA
- CISSP or CISSP Associate
- GCED
- GCIH
Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certification required within 90 days after contract award
Security Clearance
Top Secret
