Major League Baseball is hiring a Network Operations Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining the network security environment. This position can be expected to cover 8 hours/5 days/week and will be paid hourly. The Network Operations Engineer will report directly to the Manager, Network Security Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Network Security Operations is responsible for maintaining the network security environment. 
  • The Network Security Operations Engineer will be timely in evaluating and attempting to resolve technical issues that arise on the network and escalate when appropriate.
  • Monitor network health, responding appropriately to network alerts and events to diagnose and resolve network issues
  • Troubleshoot, Escalate, and communicate issues surrounding Wired, Wireless, and Private 5G infrastructure
  • Review configurations and network tools to continually improve network performance and reliability
  • Configure and maintain SASE tools, following best practice with Zero Trust principles
  • Configure and maintain firewalls: security policies, VPN, IPSec tunnels etc.

Qualifications & Skills

2-5 years professional experience in:

  • IP Networking (L3, L2)
  • Network automation/Scripting (Python, Bash, Go or other scripting language)
  • Experience with Private Cellular Networks preferred
  • Protocols such as BGP, Spanning Tree, WiFi, PIM, IGMP, MLAG, IPSec, Multicast
  • Public cloud networking, specifically GCP and OCI
  • Problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to be challenged, learn, and continually improve
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in professional networking and networking security
  • CCNA or CCNP certification a plus

Pay Range: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
