What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated Network Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot networking and communication systems onsite in California. The right candidate will bring solid hands-on experience and a collaborative mindset, supporting network architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting while working closely with senior engineers and project teams. This individual will contribute to technical efforts, support junior staff when appropriate, and help ensure best practices are followed across all phases of network deployment and support.
This is a travel-based position with work 100% on customer site in California.
Clearance Requirement
Active DoD Security Clearance required
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the network engineering team, you will support the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise network solutions in a dynamic onsite environment.

Installation & Setup: Perform rack and stack, cabling, labeling, and power-up of networking equipment testing across various environments while following the established standard operational procedures

Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve network issues involving routers, switches, connectivity, to include documenting every escalating complex issues as required

Team Collaboration: Develop a close working environment with senior engineers and project leads to properly implement end solutions to maintain a consistent technical standard

Customer Engagement: Deliver high-quality, responsive technical support while maintaining transparent communication regarding project status, potential challenges, and final resolutions

Documentation & Reporting: Ensure the integrity of configuration records and service documentation while producing comprehensive technical reports and status updates that drive actionable insights
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Proven, hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Aruba networking platforms in enterprise or DoD environments (hands-on experience with Aruba strongly preferred)
- SME in physical infrastructure: cabling, racking, stacking, power configuration
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across the OSI Model 7 Layer technology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to elaborate on complex issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commonly used network analysis to include multiple monitoring tools
- Experience mentoring or guiding technical teams is a plus
Certifications
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
- IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or Equivalent
- Knowledge of basic Network Design Topology Implementation, Switch and Router Configuration Management
- Preferred Computing Environment Certification: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and/or Aruba Certified Associate (ACA)
Work Location
- 100% onsite
- Spend 8 weeks working onsite in California, followed by 10 days offsite
- All travel and onsite accommodation expenses fully covered by PEAKE

Daily per diem allowance for meals and incidental expenses. (Note: based on GSA rates and typically tax-free when aligned with federal travel guidelines; paid in addition to wages to reduce out-of-pocket costs and simplify expense tracking.)
