Network Engineer

Octal Philippines Inc. is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and security across our operations. You will work on troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues while contributing to the enhancement of our networking capabilities. Responsibilities:

• Design, set up, maintain, and optimize network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and security, ensuring efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement network solutions that meet business needs.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network configurations and procedures.

Requirements

• • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• • Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
• • Proven experience with network infrastructure components including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• • Strong knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP.
• • Familiarity with network security practices and tools.
• • Experience with Cisco products and technologies (CCNA certification preferred).
• • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
