About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Developer who specializes in .NET, Azure B2C, Kubernetes and OpenShift to join an on-site client commitment in Auckland. You will be responsible for analysing, designing, coding, debugging and enhancing applications that run across local, cloud and containerized environments. You will work with domain teams to translate business requirements into maintainable, high-quality code and solutions, while embracing DevOps practices and modern design patterns.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, code, test and install applications across multiple platforms, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain .NET applications (C#) and integrate Azure B2C for identity and access management.
  • Containerized deployments and orchestration using Kubernetes and OpenShift; contribute to deployment and release processes.
  • Collaborate with domain teams to resolve defects, gaps and ambiguities in design, and ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, technical design, and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Monitor performance and availability of systems; participate in performance tuning and optimization.
  • Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, test automation and release management; support QA in issue identification and resolution.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members; communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure high-quality code, maintainability, and clear, well-documented solutions.
  • Adhere to safety, standards and best practices; demonstrate proactive planning and problem-solving.

What you’ll bring

The successful candidate for this role will be seen as an expert in their field and will have demonstrated experience and success in a similar role. More specifically, we looking for the following:

·       3+ years of related experience in programming and applications design.

  • Strong hands-on experience with .NET (C#) and modern .NET development practices.
  • Practical experience with Azure B2C for identity and access management.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms, specifically Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and writing efficient SQL.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, automation, version control); familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities; strong analytical and coding skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work effectively in large, collaborative teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Willingness to work on-site with the Auckland client and engage in on-site delivery.

Desirable

  • Additional cloud experience (e.g., AWS) or other programming languages/frameworks.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/alerting tools and backup/DR concepts.
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, integration, workflow automation and test automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline (desirable).
