Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and services using the latest versions of C# and .NET Core.
  • Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for .NET. You will also be responsible for creating reusable Terraform 2. templates to wrap and deploy C# services.
  • Build solutions leveraging a range of AWS services, including AWS Lambda, MSK Connect, Apache Flink, Amazon Neptune, and Amazon Athena.
  • Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from initial design and development through to testing and deployment.
  • Quickly dive into and understand the existing application and codebase, making impactful contributions from day one.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to our platform's architecture, development processes, and overall performance with a customer centric mindset.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Expertise in C#, .NET Core & CDK.Net
  • Strong experience using .NET for developing web applications.
  • Demonstrable experience of infrastructure templating with CloudFormation and/or Terraform
  • Experience with implementing OOP principles and design patterns with C#.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, TeamCity.)
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one database technology; Aurora RDS, Postgres, SQL Server, Documentdb.
  • Practical experience building solutions with services like AWS Lambda, MSK Connect, Apache Flink, Amazone Neptune and Amazon Athena.
  • Be self-starter and independent contributor who can take high-level requirements, architect a solution and execute on it with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to to rapidly assimilate complex technical information, understand unfamiliar codebases and become productive in a short timeframe.
  • Have a history of successfully delivering complex software projects from the development phase all the way to a production environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly new AWS services and how they fit in the existing architecture.

Good to Have Skills:

  • A solid understanding of core networking principles and protocols.
  • Exposure to AWS data and streaming services such as Amazon Athena, AWS Glue, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, or zero-ETL solutions.
  • Proficiency in additional scripting languages like PowerShell, Shell scripting (Bash), Ansible, or Kotlin.
  • Experience and familiarity working within both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience with modern monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of database schema migration and version control tools, such as Liquibase or Flyway.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
