Charles River CFO, Inc. has an immediate need for an experienced, interim, CFO for our client in the credit union industry. This is a remote position and the client is located in Michigan. The client may request an onsite visit at times.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: 30–40 hours per week
  • Location: Fully remote
  • Duration: 4-8 months commitment
  • Start Date: Immediate need


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial and accounting aspects of the credit union, including financial reporting, asset-liability management (ALM), risk management, budgeting, regulatory compliance and internal controls
  • Provide leadership, direction, and advisory services to internal staff 
  • Assess the accounting and finance function of the Credit Union. Offer recommendations for best practices and process improvements.
  • Implement change as directed by the Credit Union’s leadership
  • Perform other duties as required 


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
  • Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience
  • CFO experience within a $1Billion + credit union
  • Systems used: Symitar (Jack Henry for Credit Unions)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
  • Adherence to client policies and procedures
  • Team-oriented and client-focused approach
