We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer to join our dynamic e-commerce team. This role is critical in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance ecommerce websites based on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Salesforce Reference Architecture (SFRA). The ideal candidate will be a technical leader who champions best practices, drives architectural integrity, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional ecommerce solutions that align with our company’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable, maintainable, and unit-testable solutions that meet business requirements and provide an outstanding user experience.
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, security protocols, architecture patterns, resiliency, and comprehensive documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Engage in planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations, and ongoing support of ecommerce platforms.
- Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of ecommerce projects.
- Evaluate ecommerce system designs, integrate components developed by other teams, and ensure the overall architectural integrity of the ecommerce ecosystem.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement enhancements that improve performance, security, and scalability.
- Assist in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and resolving production issues to maintain optimal system availability and reliability.
Requirements
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC): Deep expertise in SFCC platform development, including cartridge development, pipeline and controller customization, and deployment best practices. Ability to leverage SFCC features to build robust ecommerce solutions.
- Salesforce Reference Architecture (SFRA): Strong experience with SFRA framework, including customizing storefronts, extending controllers, models, and templates to meet complex business needs.
- Web Security Principles: Solid understanding of web security best practices such as OWASP Top 10, secure coding techniques, authentication, authorization, and data protection to safeguard ecommerce applications.
- 5+ years of web development experience: Proven track record in designing and implementing web applications with a focus on ecommerce or related domains.
- Front-end technologies: Strong proficiency in JavaScript ES6, HTML5, and CSS3 to build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces within the SFCC ecosystem.
- SFCC Business Manager configuration: Familiarity with configuring and managing SFCC Business Manager settings, including site preferences, catalogs, promotions, and user roles.
- Integration with REST/SOAP services: Experience integrating SFCC with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, including handling authentication mechanisms (OAuth, Basic Auth) and data transformation/mapping.
- Version control and AI-assisted development tools: Proficient in using Git for version control and familiar with AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Co-Pilot and Microsoft Co-Pilot to enhance development productivity and code quality.
