National Construction Lending Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly qualified National Construction Lending Business Development Manager to join our organization in the United States. This critical role will be responsible for driving substantial growth in Granite's construction lending risk management portfolio nationwide, establishing strategic partnerships, and identifying lucrative business opportunities in the dynamic construction and real estate markets.

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive national business development strategies to significantly expand our construction lending portfolio
  • Proactively identify and pursue high-value business opportunities with mortgage brokers, developers, builders, and real estate investors across the United States
  • Conduct thorough analysis of market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and maintain competitive advantage
  • Establish and cultivate robust relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to ensure long-term business success
  • Collaborate effectively with regional teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and achievement of national objectives
  • Perform rigorous financial analysis and risk assessment of potential lending opportunities to minimize risk exposure and maximize returns
  • Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to potential clients and partners to secure new business
  • Implement and maintain a robust system for monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to business development and portfolio growth
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction lending to ensure compliance and optimize business operations
  • Experience in construction lending or a related field
  • Proven success in business development or sales, preferably in a national role
  • In-depth knowledge of construction lending practices, real estate market dynamics, and financial regulations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial data and market trends
  • Excellent relationship management and networking abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of construction industry trends and market cycles
  • Ability to work independently and make decisive, strategic decisions
  • Customer-focused mindset with a track record of building long-term client relationships
