Who We Want

Spevco is seeking to fill a National Business Development position selling our custom, specialty vehicles and associated tour logistics and event services.  Market segments can span across:

  • Product Promotion and Display

  • Food and Beverage
  • Disaster Relief and Command and Control Assets
  • Medical and Wellness
  • Outdoor and Sports Markets
  • Mobile Industrial Applications
  • and many more...


The common theme is Spevco's custom-designed, ground-up-built specialty vehicles, all manufactured at our headquarters outside of Winston-Salem, NC.  Do you have experience developing business or producing in experiential marketing or brand activation segments?  Do you have a track record connecting with high-level decision-makers, even through long sales cycles?  Do you have experience leading and closing large deals ($1,000,000+)?  If yes – we should talk.



What You’ll Really Be Doing 

This is a full-time National Business Development position that reports to Spevco's President.  As part of the Sales & Marketing Team, you will be prospecting, presenting, and following up within your market segment(s).  You’ll be creating large deals with some of the biggest brands in the world and/or their marketing agency partners.  You'll leverage our toolbox of CRM, automated outreach, and trade show strategies to keep your pipeline full.


In the first 90 days, you will be immersed in our mission of building fantastic specialty vehicles and providing amazing tour logistics services for our clients, learning our systems, and:

  • Integrating with current accounts
  • Establishing a strategic target client list
  • Applying your keen insight and prospecting skills to our market segments


On a monthly, weekly, and daily basis, you will be;

  • Managing current and potential client relationships
  • Creating deals and tracking them within our CRM system
  • Traveling to industry shows and client locations (approximately once per month)
  • Booking potential clients to visit Spevco's headquarters
  • Preparing and negotiating briefs, proposals, and contracts with support of Spevco's leadership team


 

What You Get Paid

Compensation is a base salary with an uncapped commission based on earned sales revenue.

The Nitty Gritty Requirements

  • Unwavering integrity, energy, professionalism, and a positive attitude (these always come first)
  • Ability to put together annual new business plans, complete with budgets for travel, trade shows, etc
  • Willingness to buy into and work the sales process
  • 5 years of direct business development experience, leading and closing large deals (typically between $500,000 - $1,500,000)
  • Proficient in MS Office programs, CRM applications, proposal applications, Docusign, and other collaborative web-based programs
  • Ability & desire to travel as needed/required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player who can also perform without supervision
  • Regular office time at HQ will be required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Embraces change and can easily move forward as priorities shift
  • Recognize and act on new business opportunities, even through long sales cycles

Physical & Mental Requirements

Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations.  Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
