What You’ll Do

Provision, configure, and maintain MySQL databases to ensure high availability and performance
Manage and monitor replication setups
Ensure reliable backup and recovery processes
Perform MySQL version upgrades with minimal impact
Contribute to operational documentation and process improvement
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure operational readiness

What We’re Looking For

Proven hands-on experience with MySQL in production environments
Solid understanding of replication, backups, and upgrade strategies
Familiarity with Linux-based systems and basic system monitoring tools
Automation experience (Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory
No need for application-side skills such as schema design or query tuning

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in an operational DBA role
Experience with cloud-based MySQL services (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
Good communication skills and a structured, reliable working style

Likely no on-call duty
