Multistate Telemedicine Physician

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a licensed, multistate physician to review asynchronous telemedicine consultations and prescribe non-controlled, low-risk medications in line with established clinical protocols. You will assess patient-submitted medical histories and e-prescribe when clinically appropriate across several digital health brands.

This role is well-suited for physicians who value flexibility, efficiency, and structured telehealth workflows.

You will support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of asynchronous telemedicine care. You will play a key role in high-volume, protocol-driven prescribing while maintaining excellent clinical judgment and patient safety standards.

What You'll Do:

• Review and assess asynchronous patient consultations using the ZipHealth, Levity, and RocketRx platforms
• Prescribe medications safely and appropriately in accordance with clinical protocols and state regulations (initial focus on GLP-1 therapies and ED treatments)
• Provide clinical oversight and support to Nurse Practitioners
• Evaluate reported side effects and provide follow-up care or escalation as needed
• Communicate with patients to address medical questions in a timely, professional manner
• Maintain accurate, concise clinical documentation
• Identify, escalate, and document safety concerns or clinical incidents
• Maintain active licensure and complete required independent training
• Collaborate with Customer Support teams to resolve patient issues via chat, phone, or video when clinically necessary
• Manage workload efficiently and meet agreed service-level expectations
• Participate in clinical governance and peer review discussions
• Consult with peers and the Medical Lead on complex cases

What You'll Bring:

• Prior experience in telemedicine or digital healthcare
• Active, unrestricted medical licenses in the following states (required):
  California, Florida, Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, Louisiana
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to supervise Nurse Practitioners under collaborative practice agreements (as applicable by state)
• Comfort prescribing across multiple service lines, including:
  Primary Care, Weight Management, and Tele-Dermatology
• Willingness to take on Professional Corporation (PC) ownership, where required by state regulations
• Strong clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication
• High attention to detail and strong governance mindset
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environment
• Confident using digital platforms and EMRs

Required

• MD or DO with unrestricted US licensure
• Minimum 3 years of active clinical practice
• Experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Experience with remote or asynchronous prescribing
• Experience working within multidisciplinary clinical teams

Preferred

• Experience managing obesity and prescribing GLP-1 medications
• Experience with high-volume telemedicine environments
• Familiarity with digital health platforms and support tools (e.g., Zendesk)
• Experience in private practice or virtual-first care models
• Experience prescribing compounded medications
• Prior experience supervising Nurse Practitioners
