Multimedia Content Intern

The Multimedia Content intern will work with our App team to plan, develop, and launch incredible Catholic content on a world-class mobile app. This will include writing, managing the production of audio and video content, file uploading, and a combination of creativity and tenacity. Ascension’s app has millions of users, and your work will directly contribute to major initiatives. 

You will thrive in this role if you make independent, intelligent decisions, produce excellent work on a routine basis, come up with creative, correct solutions to new problems, and have the conscientiousness to carry it all out.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read, watch, or listen to Catholic media content, assist with editing it if needed, and upload it to the Ascension App
• Help with the development of original content as needed—writing, and working with Catholic creators and our internal team to produce videos or audio. No previous audio / video experience necessary
• Perform content-related research, as required by assigned projects
• Help identify potential content projects by identifying possible topics, resources, and talent
• Other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Open to all majors
• Critical reading skills and excellent writing skills are essential 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a remote role.
• A general understanding of Catholic beliefs and practices, including a familiarity with traditional and contemporary Catholic theological terms
