About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing e-commerce brand focused on creating engaging experiences for online shoppers. They are rapidly scaling their digital presence and aim to set trends rather than follow them.
Role Overview
This Social Media Manager role owns the brand’s social presence end-to-end across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. The role exists to drive consistent, high-quality content distribution, brand storytelling, and community engagement that directly supports growth and revenue. You’ll work closely with video editors, UGC creators, designers, paid media partners, and the founding team. This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, KPI-driven environments and understands how to turn trends into brand-aligned content.
Your Impact
You will directly influence brand visibility, audience growth, and engagement across key social platforms. Your work will improve content consistency, creative quality, and operational efficiency. You’ll help shape how the brand shows up daily, strengthen community trust, and contribute insights that inform broader marketing and product decisions. Success in this role is clearly defined and measured through performance metrics.
Core Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Content Planning – 30%
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business objectives, seasonal campaigns, and product launches.
- Stay up-to-date on platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging features across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
- Create and maintain content calendars balancing promotional content, educational posts, UGC, trending formats, and community engagement.
- Conduct competitive research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for brand visibility.
- Establish KPIs for each platform and track performance to refine strategy.
Content Coordination & Team Collaboration – 35%
- Coordinate with video editors, UGC creators, and paid content creators to source, review, and approve content.
- Collaborate with the founding team to ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and values.
- Brief designers and editors on content needs, providing clear creative direction and feedback.
- Manage content approval workflows, ensuring timely publishing and organized asset libraries.
Community Management & Engagement – 20%
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely and brand-consistent manner.
- Build and nurture an engaged online community through authentic interactions.
- Identify collaboration opportunities with relevant accounts, influencers, and brand advocates.
- Track sentiment and community feedback to inform content and product strategy.
Content Creation & Publishing – 15%
- Write compelling captions, copy, and CTAs tailored for each platform.
- Create or adapt quick-turnaround content (graphics, memes, trending audio posts).
- Schedule and publish content using social media management tools.
- Optimize content with hashtags, keywords, tags, and platform best practices.
- Test different content formats, posting times, and messaging to maximize engagement.
Requirements
Must-Haves (Required)
- 3+ years of social media management experience for e-commerce or consumer brands
- Experience coordinating or leading small teams or external collaborators
- Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn algorithms and trends
- Strong grasp of brand storytelling and “getting the vibe” of a brand
- Hands-on experience managing posting, comments, DMs, and distribution
- Experience working with video editors, UGC creators, and designers
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Excellent English communication skills (accents acceptable if communication is clear)
- Ability to work independently in a lean, remote, KPI-driven environment
- Long-term mindset with interest in growing with the company
Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)
- Experience supporting e-commerce launches or promotional campaigns
- Basic design skills using Canva or Adobe tools
- Familiarity with paid social and influencer programs
- SEO or conversion-focused social experience
- Startup or DTC brand background
