The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for reviewing loan files to ensure adherence to underwriting, closing and Agency/Investor guidelines.  Loan files may be reviewed on either a pre-funding and/or post-closing basis for compliance. Must have strong Conventional QC experience.  

 

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Re-underwrites daily and monthly loan files selected for audit.
  • Re-calculate income and assets as per loan program requirements.
  • Confirm accuracy of AUS findings as compared to the LOS and loan file documentation.
  • Check for possible fraud, red flags and errors on loan files.
  • Identify loan file deficiencies and communicate with Branch personnel for remediation when necessary.
  • Thorough appraisal review as per program and AUS requirements.
  • Ensure loan files conform to all applicable CMG guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Utilize on-line tools as needed to complete loan file reviews.
  • Request reverification of loan file documentation as needed/required.

 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Three to Five (3-5) years of Mortgage Quality Control experience.
  • Knowledge of Internal Audit procedures, Regulations and Underwriting required.
  • Ability to review and calculate income specific to loan program requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced fluid environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality required.

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.

 

Compensation Information – This is a remote role that can be performed from within the United States. The compensation range is $40.00 to $43.00 per hour depending on experience working as a QC UW or Auditor.
