And now, we are on the lookout for a Mortgage Data Operations Manager. As a Mortgage Data Operations Manager, you will build and lead a human-in-the-loop team responsible for processing and QC’ing US mortgage documents across the full loan lifecycle. You'll ensure high accuracy, compliance, and SLA adherence.


Responsibilities: 


Hands‑on review & processing: Manage intake, validation, and QC of mortgage documents (Application, Credit, Income, Appraisal, Asset, Title, Insurance, TRID forms, etc.).

Ensure data consistency & accuracy throughout the pipeline, flagging and resolving inconsistencies.

Compliance management: Verify processed data aligns with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and TRID guidelines; ensure federal/state regulatory compliance.

Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, product teams, and clients to facilitate smooth operations and process improvements.

Error detection & escalation: Monitor QC metrics, highlight recurring issues, and implement corrective/resolution actions.

Process optimization: Design and document workflows for scalable, efficient operations (including offshore vs. live SLA).

Team building & leadership: Hire, train, and mentor data entry/QC staff. Set performance goals and manage team performance (including firing when needed).

Tooling advocacy: Identify UI/workflow gaps and request product enhancements, such as field pre-fill, bulk approval, error flagging, and real-time dashboards.

SLA monitoring: Implement SLA frameworks (live <1 hr, offshore windows), monitor adherence, and adjust resourcing/models to ensure targets are met.

Reporting & metrics: Track KPIs (accuracy %, TAT, throughput), create weekly/monthly performance dashboards, and present to leadership



What we are looking for:



5+ years in US mortgage processing or underwriting operations, with 2+ years in team leadership or operations management.

Deep understanding of mortgage loan docs: application packages, credit, income verification, appraisal, title, insurance, TRID, etc.

Strong expertise with agency guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA) and regulatory compliance (TILA, RESPA, HMDA, ECOA).

Proven experience managing onshore/offshore teams, with respect to live and non-live SLAs.

Data-driven mindset: ability to track metrics and use them to drive quality, accuracy, and throughput.

Excellent process design capabilities: experience developing SOPs, QA frameworks, and continuous improvement cycles.

Strong communicator, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and escalate issues effectively.

Proficiency with mortgage systems (e.g. Encompass, Calyx) and strong Excel/data analysis skills.
