Position Summary

We are looking for a mold designer with hands-on experience building and modifying 3D mold assemblies. Catia experience is preferred, but candidates with strong assembly modeling skills in other CAD systems will be trained in Catia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design injection molds using full 3D assembly modeling
  • Build and maintain complete mold assemblies to internal and customer standards
  • Issue design files and BOMs in Catia (training available)
  • Support 1–2 active jobs at a time through design release and build
  • Address engineering changes and shop-floor design fixes
  • Present design intent and tool concepts to internal teams and customers
  • Perform minor surfacing tasks such as insert updates or small geometry changes


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of injection mold design experience
  • Strong understanding of 3D assembly modeling principles
  • Experience designing complete mold assemblies (plates, actions, inserts, lifters)
  • Catia experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to support manufacturing and respond to shop-driven changes
  • Basic surfacing capability considered an asset
