Ventus Solutions is seeking experienced Modernization and Installation Coordination Support for a critical Navy priority program. The selected candidate will assist with submarine combat system alteration and fielding activities, ensuring successful planning, coordination, and execution across the submarine modernization enterprise. This role requires a strong understanding of submarine combat systems, fielding processes, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a former submarine Junior Officer or senior Fire Control Technician (FT) background or an individual with significant AN/BYG-1 system experience.  They must be dynamic and comfortable supporting document reviews, fielding plans, and coordination across multiple organizations. Expected efforts include the following:

 

  • Maintain and reconcile AN/BYG-1 Installation Matrix data in various databases and monitor for changes. 
  • Track and report combat system alteration status and contribute to Maintenance Advisory Board (MAB) and Hardware Review Board (HRB) briefs.
  • Prepare and deliver Government-Furnished Information (GFI) packages for all submarine classes to key industry stakeholders.
  • Review vendor data, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and installation documentation prior to delivery.
  • Coordinate combat system installations and fielding with maintenance organizations, Warfare Centers, submarine Type Commanders, and all Team SUB organizations
  • Support boat-by-boat C5I coordination, MOP concurrence, and 425 concurrence on SWFTS briefs.

Required Experience:

 

  • Experience with the AN/BYG-1 Combat and Weapon Control System, operations, maintenance, and modernization support.
  • Familiarity with PMS, SWFTS, TYCOM, NUWC, and SIIMO coordination processes in multiple submarine maintenance environments
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and fielding plan development skills.
  • Experience with MS Project and MS Office Products
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively communicate across multiple organizations.
  • Dynamic, detail-oriented professional comfortable with document reviews, system integration planning, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree

 

Desired Experience:

 

  • Prior experience as a U.S. Navy Submarine Junior Officer or senior Fire Control Technician (FT).
  • Experience coordinating installation and fielding activities with SIIMO, NUWC, TYCOM, and SWFTS stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with VISIO packages and quality assurance of installation documentation.
  • Working knowledge of SMART, GFI, ICDs, VISIO/NNAL, and related submarine installation documentation.

 

 

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000–$145,000. This range represents a good-faith estimate and is not a guarantee; final compensation is determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, and government contract labor rate requirements and may fall outside the stated range.
