YOUR ROLE:
Join us as our first Mobile Quality Engineer and lead the charge in ensuring our SaaS platforms deliver a flawless mobile experience. You’ll be the architect of our mobile automation strategy, building robust testing frameworks for our native iOS and Android companion apps—including E-Commerce and AI Tools. This is a hands-on role where you’ll set up the automated testing environment from scratch, establish quality gates within our CI/CD pipelines, and define what excellence looks like for our mobile releases. You’ll be the ultimate advocate for the user, ensuring every release is high-performance, bug-free, and polished.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Architect and Build: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for native mobile apps (iOS & Android);
Own the Pipeline: Integrate automated test suites into our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring every pull request is validated before it hits production;
Shift-Left Strategy: Collaborate with developers during the design phase to ensure features are architected for testability;
Quality Standards: Define and enforce mobile QA best practices, including test case management, bug reporting standards, and release readiness criteria;
Deep Debugging: Use proxy tools and logs to investigate complex issues across the full stack (App-to-API);
Release Governance: Partner with the mobile team to manage the "Go/No-Go" process for App Store and Google Play submissions.
OUR EXPECTATIONS:
5+ years of professional experience in Mobile QA or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) roles;
Automation Mastery: Strong proficiency with mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Maestro, or Native tools like XCUITest and Espresso);
Coding Skills: Solid experience writing test scripts in at least one relevant language (Swift, Kotlin, Java, or Python);
Technical Depth: Deep understanding of mobile-specific challenges (fragmentation, network conditions, permissions, and lifecycle events);
Tooling & CI/CD: Familiarity with mobile DevOps tools (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Fastlane) and cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs);
API Testing: Expertise in testing RESTful APIs and mocking backend responses to isolate mobile UI behavior.
GREAT ADVANTAGE WILL BE:
First QA Hire Experience: Previous experience setting up a QA department or automation framework from the ground up;
Native Knowledge: Familiarity with SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose, allowing you to contribute to code reviews and unit tests;
Security & Specialized Testing: Experience with mobile app security audits, accessibility testing (WCAG), or automated visual regression;
Snapshot Testing: Experience with snapshot/screenshot testing tools (App Percy and/or other) to ensure visual consistency.
