Mount Maunganui , New Zealand
full-time

AI overview

This dynamic role involves field service and workshop work, providing practical hydraulic solutions and high-quality customer service throughout the Tauranga/Bay of Plenty region.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role combining field service and workshop work. You’ll be the face of the business with customers, responding to breakdowns, fabricating hoses and providing practical hydraulic solutions. Permanent, full-time employment in Tauranga, Monday to Friday, plus paid overtime through participation in a three-weekly rotating on-call roster supporting our 24/7 breakdown service.  No two days are the same.
Key responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to customer breakdowns and service requests.
  • Manufacture and fit hydraulic hoses on-site and in the workshop.
  • Diagnose faults and provide safe, practical repair solutions.
  • Deliver professional, friendly customer service.
  • Maintain your service vehicle, tools and stock levels.
  • Follow all health & safety procedures.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call roster.

You’ll receive training on products, systems and safety standards, setting you up for long-term success.

You’re mechanically minded, reliable and enjoy problem-solving in the field. You take pride in your work, communicate well with customers and can manage your day independently.  Ideally you’ll bring:

  • Full NZ driver’s licence.
  • Mechanical or engineering background (hydraulics experience an advantage).
  • Strong problem-solving ability and customer focus

Experience with manual lathes, hydraulic component rebuilds or cylinder repairs is a bonus but not essential. Attitude, reliability and willingness to learn matter most.

What’s On Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience (a package will be negotiated with the successful applicants based on Skills & Experience)
  • Permanent, full-time employment in Tauranga, Monday to Friday, plus paid overtime through participation in a three-weekly rotating on-call roster supporting our 24/7 breakdown service.
  • Tool allowance, overtime and on-call earning potential.
  • Variety across field service and workshop work.
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing development.
  • Supportive team environment with strong national backing.
  • Long-term career opportunity in a specialised trade.

If you’re hands-on, customer-driven and looking for a practical role with real variety and career growth, we’d love to hear from you.
