Meade, Maryland SEAT LOCATION: Laurel JOB DESCRIPTION: The System Architect develops strategic solutions by integrating diverse Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) tools into a unified system solution based upon requirements. Uses COTS tools in conjunction with Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) delivered solutions to meet customer requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Analyzes the impact of planned and unplanned modifications and makes innovative recommendations for adjustments to the architecture. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides input regarding the applicability of tool integration. REQUIRED: •Establishes systems information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. •Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communication to support the total requirements and interfaces. •Ensures the systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architecture and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solutions for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces. •Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action. •Ensures that the common operating system is compliant and provides daily supervision and direction to staff. •Active Directory experience required \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ CERTIFICATION: • Requires: IAT, L2 EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s Degree + 6 years, OR   • Associates Degree + 10 years.
