About the Role

As a ML Pipeline Engineer at Neo Cybernetica, you will own and maintain the core data and benchmarking pipelines of the trainable simulation team. This includes three specific components: 3D reconstruction, imitation learning, and differentiable physics engines.

You will be working as a part of a highly-technical AI team with world-class researchers to build the best research tools possible for the team and allow them to work 10x more efficiently and make an impact on building something groundbreaking.

About You

You are a proactive and thorough engineer with a strong sense of ownership and really take to heart the idea that everyone is going to succeed together or fail together.

You are comfortable working with terabyte-scale data and eager to learn and grow in the AI space.

Responsibilities

  • Own the team’s development process, benchmarking and data pipelines.
  • Work closely with AI researchers (and learning LOTS of AI)
  • Establish centralized data management service with formats that are approved and accessible by all squads.
  • Playing around with new technologies that will allow the team to be 10x more efficient  and sharing comprehensive opinions on architectural/technical decisions.
  • Mentoring both junior and senior team members
  • Use your excellent written and verbal communication skills to align teamwork.

Your Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10+ years of software experience with at least 5 years of working directly with a top tier research team.
  • Excellent skills in Python and developer tooling.
  • Solid experience with 3D object and scene representations and programming experience with some common modeling engines like Blender or Solidworks.
  • Extensive experience with software benchmarking and performance testing.

What Will Make You Standout

  • Experience with a modern game engine (i.e. Unity or unreal), some basic understanding of rigging and animation.
  • Comfortable with 3D geometric data structures.
  • Some experience with low latency and lag-aware systems.
  • Familiarity with deep learning data pipelines.
  • Experience with an existing physics engine like PyBullet.
  • Open-source software development, contribution, maintenance.
