Vivo Energy Madagascar is looking for (02) Mine Depot Supervisors to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the operations of a mining depot while ensuring adherence to HSSEQ standards, quality, and operational standards. The Mine Depot Supervisor will be responsible for managing daily depot activities and deputizing the Depot Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations at the mine depot, ensuring all procedures are followed and that safety standards are upheld.
  • Oversee and ensure accurate stock management and inventory reconciliation.
  • Carry out product quality controls as described in the quality framework and avoid any quality incident
  • Supervise the contractors during any maintenance activities and ensure the requirements in the PTW and procedures are complied with.
  • Manage staffing, training, and performance monitoring for depot personnel.
  • Coordinate logistics related to product receipt, storage, and distribution.
  • Implement and review maintenance schedules for all depot equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct regular assessments to detect and rectify any operational issues.
  • Systematically check all vehicle according to the Safe to Load checklist, as well as the manholes seals and wedge seals and report any abnormality.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding operational matters.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Depot, Road transport or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in depot operations or logistics management, preferably in the mining or oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of HSSEQ standards and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, particularly SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
