Improve site reliability by maximizing millwright quality and effectiveness on rotating equipment. This position will be utilized to perform Millwright activities in the HPF or MPF units while also creating a sustainable and excellent Millwright work culture.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accountable for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and improvement of rotating equipment assemblies for the St. Gabriel site.
- Understand and interpret part and assembly drawings, both St. Gabriel and OEM repair procedures, and P&ID’s.
- Understand basic maintenance processes & systems used to plan, schedule and execute work.
- Interact with production unit personnel and provide knowledge of rotating equipment.
- Participate regularly in call-outs and overtime in units of the plant. May be responsible for off-hours duty
- Improve and implement maintenance processes to solve operational problems, to improve plant reliability and to reduce operating cost of rotating equipment.
- Support Lubrication management activities with Reliability Engineer and oil sampling reviews
- Make recommendations for continuous improvement of auxiliary set-ups (lubrication, on-stream monitoring, etc.) leveraging technology and industry best practice.
- Support Maintenance Rework reviews and perform RCA’s to identify gaps and report findings.
- Evaluate and recommend spare part optimization
- Generate and maintain accurate electronic procedures, records, and work notifications for the reliability function
Critical Knowledge:
- Expertise in rotating equipment assemblies and components
- Expertise of detailed inspection and precision assembly techniques
- Working knowledge of millwright work execution.
- Understanding of resource roles and interaction.
- Continuous improvement mindset on identifying gaps and improve existing ways of working
- Understanding of USSG HSE policies and procedures
Critical Skills:
- Ability to teach and develop less experienced millwrights
- Working knowledge and ability to use site maintenance software:
- SAP R3 Plant Maintenance & Material Modules.
- Microsoft Office software.
- Self-drive, effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Critical Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 10+ years of field hands on relevant experience as a Millwright Technician working in all type of rotating equipment in an Industrial and/or Chemical Process Environment.
Preferred:
- NCCER, Local 720, Vo-Tech, ABC programs
- Hendrix skills Level 1,2,3
