Middle Office and Custodian Operations - Analyst

About the Role

iCapital is looking to hire a Custodian Operations Analyst to join our Client Operations and Reporting team. This role will report into the Head of Custodian Operations or their delegee and will be responsible for assisting with various custodian support functions on behalf of private funds sponsored by iCapital. In support of iCapital’s designated custodial relationships, the ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating new private fund recognition, approval and set up; delivering position and activity reporting on behalf of custodied investors; offering reconciliation and break resolution support when differences arise; administering custodian-initiated investor updates; and supporting general custodian-initiated inquiries. This role will require regular interaction with both internal (e.g., fund origination, fund finance) and external (e.g., designated custodians) partners.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate custodial recognition, approval, and set up on behalf of iCapital private funds.

  • Satisfy ongoing reporting iCapital private fund position and activity reporting obligations on behalf of custodied investor positions.

  • Investigate, resolve, and respond to custodian queries regarding reconciliation differences.

  • Serve as a principal contact with designated custodian relationships.

  • Aid the Custody Operations team in improving processes through enhanced documentation, workflows, and/or automation to improve the scale of capabilities. 

  • Team members are expected to be active contributors to new ideas and solutions.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of Accounting, Finance, and/or Operations experience in alternatives is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Superior organizational skills and able to multitask
  • Excel proficiency required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic

  • Possess the desire and ability to learn quickly
