Meet the Core Product team
You’ll join the Automation team within our Core Product group - a team responsible for some of the most critical platform capabilities at LEAP. From identity and access management through to automation services and deep integrations with Microsoft Office across Windows, Mac, web and mobile, this team underpins the foundations of how our products function securely and seamlessly. The work here is highly visible, business-critical, and central to the reliability and scalability of the entire LEAP ecosystem.

What you'll do

Your focus will be leading and delivering our migration to Auth0, a market-leading authentication platform, as part of a company-wide uplift in security and identity management. LEAP currently operates with an in-house authentication system. While it works, we are committed to strengthening our security posture and standardising authentication across all products. You will take ownership of driving this migration forward and helping bring the broader engineering organisation along the journey.

To make this happen, you will:

• Lead and contribute to the migration from our in-house authentication system to a third-party authentication platform, while ensuring continued stability of the existing system.
• Design and implement backend services using Node.js
• Build and support client-side applications using React
• Apply RESTful API design principles and contribute to API implementation and integration
• Apply best practices and industry standards for software development, such as agile methodologies, test-driven development, and CI/CD
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design and implement solutions

What you'll bring

You’ll have around 3+ years of commercial experience in software development, with demonstrated experience in:

• Strong backend development using Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript), or .NET (C#) with a willingness to work with Node.js
• Designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Working with authentication systems (e.g. OpenID Connect, SSO, JWT-based auth)

Consider it a bonus if you have commercial experience in:

• Developing frontend solutions using React
• Integrating with a market-leading authentication platform (e.g. Auth0)
• Developing applications in a cloud environment (e.g. AWS, or Azure with transferable experience)
